Hydrocarbon Engineering,
The scheduled overhaul operations of the TANECO Complex‘ process installation were completed ahead of schedule. The efficient work organisation during the preparation and repair operations performance of the hydrocracking unit made it possible to complete the work seven days ahead of schedule.
The reactor internals of at the hydrocracking unit, as well as the catalyst at four reactors and the reforming furnace were replaced during the repair. Hydrogen production, and, cleaning, revision and testing of 196 vessels, 2 tanks, 225 pipelines were performed to ensure safe operation of the hydrocracking, hydrogen production and base oil production facilities.
Pipeline tie-ins required for the implementation of the second Taneco Complex construction stage were made at the hydrocracking installation and the hydrogen production installation during the overhaul period. Similar work aimed of obtaining base oil with a viscosity of 6 cSt was carried out at the base oils production facility.
The work was carried out to clean the vessel, heat-exchange, column equipment, tank, air-cooled vessels in the total amount about 35 units during the overhaul period at the unit for the production of elemental sulfur. The replacement of the 630 mm diameter and about 200 m long pipeline was completed. In addition, pneumatic testing of pipelines and hydrotesting of heat exchange equipment were also carried out.
At present, all the repaired units have been brought to the normal operating mode, and they resumed the yield of products that meet the Euro 5 standard requirements as well as the requirements for Euro 6 engines.
