UNICAT Catalyst Technologies acquires Magma Group

UNICAT Catalyst Technologies LLC, a portfolio company of White Deer Energy, a US private equity firm, has completed the acquisition of Jemmtec Ltd, trading as Magma Group, a UK based specialist in ceramics and catalyst manufacturing and related services.
The merger creates the opportunity for the market to have one supplier for the complete Syngas and Hydrogen production line of catalysts and adsorbents.
Some Magma customers have achieved 10 – 15% more Hydrogen production by utilising Magma’s new custom-shaped SMR catalyst.
Magma’s new catalyst technology delivers excellent energy efficiency and production yield to benefit customers around the world. UNICAT Catalyst Technologies manufactures sulfur removal, shift catalysts, methanation catalyst, and PSA adsorbents.
Together, the combined businesses will offer vertically-integrated global manufacturing and distribution of innovative catalyst and ceramics products and services for the refinery, syngas, chemical, steel, agriculture. And green energy industries. The combined company will have multiple manufacturing facilities in the US, Europe and Asia.
