Holiday Stationstores, Inc., has added compressed natural gas (CNG) to their existing fuelling and convenience store in Lakeville, Minnesota. Trillium CNG™ built, and will maintain the public access fast-fill CNG fuelling location. Trillium has 20 years of experience and a national network of CNG locations.

Brian Ochocki, Vice President for Holiday Companies. "This will be Holiday's second CNG fuelling location and we are excited to offer local fleets this option at a convenient location open 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

Located off of Interstate 35, south of the Twin Cities, the station is open to all vehicles and has easy access in and out for heavy duty fleet trucks. The dual hose dispenser will allow two semi-trailers to fuel at the same time, and features Trillium CNG's proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor.

"We are proud to be working with Holiday, a company that recognises the importance of making CNG available in the Twin Cities market," said Bill Cashmareck, General Manager for Trillium CNG. "Fleet operators know that we stake our reputation on delivering a great fuelling experience for our customers – fast, safe and reliable."

Zobel also commented that in addition to the environmental impacts, 98% of the natural gas used in the US is produced in North America. Compared with diesel, natural gas fuel offers a myriad of environmental benefits, including an approximate 20 – 25% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, up to a 50% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions, a 70 – 90% reduction in carbon monoxide emissions and 67 – 94% lower particulate matter emissions. It also offers much more stable pricing than gasoline or diesel.
