Questar Fueling Company, a subsidiary of Questar Corporation is planning to build a CNG fuelling station in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The public access station will provide fast fill CNG fuelling for fleet operations with medium and heavy duty trucks as well as motorists who drive light duty natural gas vehicles. The stations will open later this year.

The station site is near I10 in Phoenix’s transportation and trucking hub at 1001 S.65th Avenue. The new station will be owned and operated by Salt Lake City based Questar Fueling, which designs, builds and operates CNG stations for fleets.

Carl Galbraith, Questar Fueling general manager said, ‘we see Phoenix as a strong market for CNG fueling. Our new station will be located near national trucking companies like Central Freight Lines and Swift Transportation that are incorporating more trucks using efficient, cleaner burning natural gas. Our business is to make that transition as easy as possible.’

Don Orr, President and CEO of Central Freight Lines said, ‘access to reliable, fast fill CNG fuelling stations near our facilities allows us to incorporate more efficient CNG trucks into our flee. Currently we’re operating 65 CNG trucks in Houston, along with 49 additional CNG vehicles throughout Texas. We are considering expanding our CNG fleet in other areas of our service footprint.’
