Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Neste is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2018. The company is both a Finnish oil refining company and a key producer of renewable diesel from waste and residues.
The company was founded 70 years ago to secure Finland's supply of oil. Its refineries were built using American technology, but were prepared from day one to use Russian crude oil as their raw material. Neste has invested heavily in R&D of its business operations. Thanks to this, the company has succeeded in combining industry experience with modern business and environmental values.
Neste has been heavily involved in the development of high quality transport fuels for tough conditions, and it continues to break new ground in this area. One of Neste's key goals is reducing traffic emissions with the aid of better fuels. This is also an effective means of curbing climate change. An important growth area for us is renewable aviation fuel, since aviation is the mode of transport with the fastest growth. Neste MY Renewable Jet Fuel helps in reducing the carbon footprint of air traffic.
