Petersburg Oil Terminal received permission from the Russian State Construction Supervision and Expertise Service to commission a new 40 000 m3 tank. Three more barrels of the same volume are operating at the terminal. The commissioning of the new facility will increase the volume of the tank farm by more than 10%.

All of the structures are built using double-walled technology, which minimises environmental risks and significantly saves the building area. The tank is designed to work with both light and dark oil products.

“The commissioning of a new tank with a capacity of 40 000 m3 will allow us to start the renovation project […] Now the terminal will not feel a reduction in transshipment volumes at the stage of reconstruction, which means that we will still be able to fully meet the needs of our customers, and will remain a reliable employer and taxpayer,” commented Mikhail Skigin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PNT.
