ENOC Group has extended its RFID-based technology to fuel terminals 2 and 3 of DP World to serve its fleet of vehicles.

The expansion of the service follows the successful implementation of RFID technology at terminal 1, that has helped DP World in monitoring diesel fuel consumption, increase operational efficiency and manage scheduled vehicle maintenance.

More than 1500 vehicles have been installed with RFID across the three terminals. The RFID system is intended to reduce fuelling time for DP World’s fleet and enhance the efficiency of operations at DP World’s container terminals.

RFID technology has sped up the refuelling process for each truck by 50% and eliminated manual data entry for all fuel transactions by 90%, enhancing the operational efficiency of commercial fleets. The integration has also contributed to improvement in monitoring, consumption control, and identifying and authorising fuel dispensing for registered vehicles.
