Elliott Group has announced the appointment of John Rann as Vice President of Ebara International Corp.’s EIC Cryo – the company’s newly integrated cryogenic pumps business. EIC Cryo will operate as one of four business units within Elliott Group.

Rann joined Elliott’s UK engineering apprenticeship programme in 1973. He has worked for each of Elliott’s business units across the world in positions ranging from manufacturing and product engineering, to sales and marketing.

In making the appointment, Michael Lordi, COO of Elliott Group, said: “John’s broad experience in oil and gas processing makes him uniquely qualified to lead EIC Cryo, and his in-depth knowledge of processes related to the production of LNG and other liquefied gases will reinforce this natural expansion of Elliott’s technologies and capabilities.”

The company also announced the promotion of Shugo Hosoda to Vice President of Engineered Products, succeeding John Rann. Hosoda transferred from Ebara Corp. in 2016 to serve as Deputy Vice President of Elliott’s Engineered Products business. Prior to his transfer to Elliott, he served as Division Executive for Ebara’s Corporate Strategy Planning Division in Tokyo, Japan.

“Shugo brings nearly 25 years of product engineering and executive experience within Ebara and Elliott to his new role,” said Lordi. “With his strong credentials in business development, strategic planning, and R&D, he is well equipped to lead our Engineered Products business.”
