Asiko Energy opens terminal in Nigeria

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Asiko Energy Holdings Ltd has marked the completion of its LPG and propane terminal in Ijora, Lagos, Nigeria. This is planned a tri-fuel (LPG, propane, and LNG) gas terminal and the company has announced the completion of its first phase: a fully mounded 5000 t LPG and Propane terminal.

Strategically located in Ijora, Lagos, the facility is designed to strengthen the connection between Nigeria's coastal supply infrastructure and inland storage and distribution networks.

Although located inland, the LPG and Propane terminal is coastal because it is effectively connected to the coast through a dedicated underground 1.7 km pipeline system that extends to three jetty connection points at the Apapa Port.

The completion of this first phase is only part of our much larger vision to enhance our gas distribution infrastructure with the 30 000 m3 fully contained LNG terminal development scheduled to commence in 2027.

The Ijora LPG and Propane terminal is an MDGIF sponsored project.
