To support a number of contract wins in Brazil and western Canada, Wood is establishing new in-country teams for its asset integrity solutions service offering. This expansion follows major successes in the region including provision of a downstream risk-based inspection management programme, as well as the development of subsea integrity management systems.
This growth forms a key part of Wood’s strategy to further deliver integrity support across its business portfolio in the Americas, whilst investing and developing the expertise of its people and encouraging increased collaboration between teams on larger scale projects.
Bob MacDonald, CEO for Wood’s Specialist Technical Solutions business, said: “I am delighted we are expanding the reach of our asset integrity capabilities in this region, with two new teams sharing office locations with existing colleagues in Rio de Janeiro and Calgary.
“Initially, the teams will focus on mechanical integrity, risk assessment, risk based inspection, field engineering and inspection solutions work. Our Calgary office is already home to our vibration, dynamics and noise capability, and we have significant experience in the Canadian mining sector. We are actively seeking opportunities to expand our service offering throughout the asset integrity solutions spectrum.
“Wood has been very active in Rio de Janeiro for several years, delivering operations and maintenance projects offshore in addition to established subsea capability. The demand for in-country asset integrity capability with local delivery is growing significantly and we look forward to supporting the existing team with our specialist experience.”
