Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Black & Veatch's patented PRICO© technology has successfully completed its guaranteed performance test (GPT) on board Golar LNG's Hilli Episeyo.
The Hilli Episeyo is the world's first FLNG vessel developed as a conversion project from an LNG carrier. It is moored off the coast of Cameroon, and recently offloaded its sixth LNG cargo.
PRICO uses a single-mixed refrigerant loop for natural gas liquefaction. The technology completed its GPT for all four of the Hilli Episeyo's liquefaction trains on 12 August 2018, 154 days after the vessel first obtained LNG.
Golar LNG CEO Iain Ross commented: “The crew are becoming increasingly comfortable with the facility, which has achieved 100% commercial availability to date. Lessons learned during the conversion, commissioning and from operations to date will be invaluable for the next FLNG project.”
