ICR make senior appointments

Richard Wilson joins ICR in a newly-created role as COO, utilising 30 years of operational and commercial experience in the oil and gas industry - specifically from his time leading a major service contractor and oil company.

Richard, a qualified Engineer, spent over 12 years with Sparrows Offshore, latterly as a Director of Operations during which time he established new bases in the Middle East, Singapore and India, as well as leading significant growth in the UK market.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I’m delighted to join ICR and look forward to supporting the team with our industry-leading products and services. Our centre of excellence in Aberdeen has enabled us to grow our international presence; our asset integrity solutions, for example, continue to receive significant global interest.”

Alongside Richard, new CFO Alan McQuade joins ICR. A Chartered Accountant with over 12 years’ experience, he was previously CFO of two of Acteon Group’s operating companies.

Commenting on the double appointment, ICR CEO Bill Bayliss said: “We are pleased to welcome Richard and Alan to our 200-strong team, where they will support ICR’s growth. Our expert track record in offering integrated solutions has allowed us to expand in key regions including Australia, the US and the Middle East, whilst we continue to undertake exciting R&D work in integrity monitoring and repairs. The experience and knowledge of both complement our strategic aims and will be a fantastic addition to the company.”

ICR currently has operational bases in the UK (Aberdeen and Kendal), Norway, Australia, the US, and the UAE as well as key partners extending ICR’s global reach.
