ProSep strikes deal to drive refinery optimisation

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

In its drive for growth across Europe, ProSep has announced a new contract for testing with a Poland-based multinational oil refiner.

Targeting new partnerships with oil refineries as part of strategic plans to gain traction throughout the continent, this new contract will consolidate ProSep’s reputation to support refineries to improve crude desalting efficiency and operate at higher production rates. For the contract, ProSep will deliver one of its Multiphase Adjustable Xtreme (MAX+) Mixer's test units to a refinery in central Poland to achieve this.

Providing homogeneous high efficiency mixing, regardless of the process flow rate, ProSep’s MAX+ mixer has been widely used since entering the market 20 years ago. Supported by a track record of success when utilised, this will be the tenth occasion on which the MAX+ mixer will be delivered for a refinery-based project.

Designed and manufactured in the US, the mixer will be tested in Norway before being mobilised to the Polish facility. The mixers are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2024, with results anticipated in early 2025.

As a leading refinery in the region, the energy which the contracted facility generates directly supports over 100 million Europeans.

Discussing this new PO and how it contributes to ProSep’s wider plans, European Sales Manager Jacek Kacperski commented: “A crucial goal of ProSep’s this year was to expand the network of refineries we collaborate with in Europe – and this contract is a significant contribution to that aim. Refineries present a huge opportunity to utilise our expertise and technologies to support operators maximise efficiency at these facilities. Europe is an exciting marketplace for us to target because refineries within the region are committed to sourcing and integrating new technical solutions.

"We’re very confident that by integrating our MAX+ mixer, the client will experience positive results, and we look forward to supporting its team throughout this project. As we head into the final quarter of 2024, this PO provides the platform for us to gain significant exposure in the industry and we hope to see similar projects come our way.”
