Hydrocarbon Engineering,

REZEL Catalysts Corp. has been awarded a contract to supply catalysts for a 600 000 t CATOFINTM propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit operated by Lihuayi Weiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. in China.

Under the agreement, REZEL will supply approximately 1000 t of its REZEL-FXB PDH catalyst and heat-generating additives. All materials are scheduled for delivery to the project site by March 2026. The catalysts will replace the start-up catalyst previously supplied by Clariant.

This marks REZEL’s second contract for a CATOFIN PDH unit. In a prior project for Hebei Haihang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., REZEL’s catalysts have enabled stable operations at 105 - 107% of design capacity since full replacement in May 2024.
