WSG, a UK service provider within the energy industry, has announced its acquisition of OSS Enviro, a specialist in fixed and mobile optical gas imaging services, on 13 March 2020.

Optical gas imaging cameras detect a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for leak detection and quantification, this additional leak detection service line further strengthens WSG capabilities in leak detection and repair.

Sealed cryogenic coolers fitted to the devices ensure extreme sensitivity to detect the smallest leaks. 00000a compliance and independent performance tests prove the Opgal EyeCGas cameras to be a useful tool for gas detection.

OSS Enviro Managing Director Rob Griffiths commented: “Becoming part of the WSG Group not only opens new markets but also gives us access to the engineering excellence that WSG are known for. We will now be able to offer group customers a true service for leak detection and repair (LDAR). With new legislation and stricter controls due to be announced in 2020, we believe we now have the right partnership to lead the market into a safer, better Global Environment.”

WSG Enviro will give the customer real-time leak information and actionable data and integrity history of all onsite components thus ensuring and improving safe operations onsite and controlling environmental impacts.

WSG Enviro will utilise WSG’s Asset Integrity Software (AIM) for the identification, quantification and record keeping of survey results, offering the client an all-encompassing service.

OSS Enviro will now trade as WSG Enviro and be based out of the UK Group headquarters at Normanton. WSG Enviro will be the only company offering this technology to the oil, gas, utilities and storage sectors in the UK, Ireland and Benelux.
