Hydrocarbon Engineering,
ERTC will take place on 13 – 15 November, 2017 in Athens, Greece. The conference welcomes industry speakers from across the European refining and petrochemicals sector. Speakers include: Grigoris Stergioulis, Hellenic Petroleum; Wolfram Krenn, OMV; Lars Rosenløv, Statoil; and Teemu Lindberg, UPM.
Hellenic Petroleum will be discussing the downstream sector. Specifically, Stergioulis will discuss how to remain competitive in an ever-challenging market, highlighting issues that affect the refining and petrochemical industry in Greece while providing examples on how to improve efficiency and control operating costs. Stergioulis’ presentation will also provide an insight to how the country will manage the competition from the Middle East.
Another topic that will be presented at a conference is the use of drones in the refining industry. Giovanni Brambilla, Alpha Robotix srl, will provide real life examples and case studies that showcase the “good, the bad and the ugly” side of drones.
Broader topics, such as Industry 4.0, CAPEX reduction, optimisation, clean energy and sustainability, will also be addressed. Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to gather a clear understanding of IMO Regulations at a panel discussion with Francisco Vázquez, Repsol, and John Cooper, Concawe.
