Hydrocarbon Engineering,
GTC Technology has supplied its proprietary GT-DWCSM technology for a second dividing wall column (DWC) for Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) at the DTA Refinery in Jamnagar, India. The project was unique in that a separation process, previously made by two naphtha splitting towers, was altered to be made in only one of the towers, which was converted to a GT-DWC configuration.
GTC provided a single-source responsibility for process license, Basic Engineering Design, equipment supply and process guarantees. Manish Bhargava, GTC Licensing Manager for Advanced Distillation Systems, said, “Revamps utilising the GT-DWC process are small-scale projects and often offer a payback of less than six months. We are excited to work with RIL and continue our track record of providing leading-edge solutions for our clients.”
