Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas UK has been officially certified by the Top Employers Institute for the third year running. The annual international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute recognises leading employers around the world: those that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and which strive to continuously optimise employment practices. Bureau Veritas has been awarded the exclusive Top Employers United Kingdom 2015 Certification.

DEP

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has announced members of the Oil and Gas Technical Advisory Board (TAB). TAB’s mission is to increase transparency and communication about regulating the unconventional oil and gas drilling industry. TAB is authorised under the 2012 Oil and Gas Act to advise DEP in the formulation, drafting, and presentation stages of all regulations relating to unconventional oil and gas extraction. TAB will be given the opportunity to review and comment on all regulations of a technical nature prior to submission to the Environmental Quality Board.

Fuel Tech

Fuel Tech, Inc. has announced the receipt of multiple air pollution control (APC) contracts from customers in the US and China. These awards have an aggregate value of approximately US$4.8 million. The first US order is for a NOxOUT Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction system. The second order is for an Electrostatic Precipitator retrofit on an industrial boiler. In China, an order was received for ULTRA systems.

Hempel

Hempel has announced that it has closed its previously announced acquisition of Jones-Blair Company, a North American supplier for the protective and waterproofing markets. In line with Hempel’s global growth strategy, the acquisition will provide Hempel with a solid and diverse platform for the continued development of its business in North America. One of Hempel’s key objectives is to strengthen its presence in North America through organic growth and acquisitions. The acquisition of Jones-Blair Company, located in Dallas, Texas, supports this objective by accelerating Hempel’s growth in the region with its strategic segments.

Intertek

Intertek is now providing transformer oil quality testing in Singapore, under the global TransoilCHECK program. TransoilCHECK is a preventative oil condition based monitoring program providing owners and operators with important quality testing and condition trend monitoring information. Test results are sent to clients with easy to read summaries and recommendations. The regional oil condition monitoring laboratory in Singapore is the latest addition to Intertek’s global TransoilCHECK program, and is well positioned to support testing and quality monitoring needs of Intertek customers in the Asia Pacific region.
