Parkland Fuel completes turnaround project

Parkland Fuel Corp. has announced that the successful completion of a turnaround project at the Parkland Burnaby Refinery in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

This was followed by testing and optimisation activities at the refinery. The facility is now fully operational.

“I want to acknowledge and thank the Parkland team including contractors who worked towards this achievement,” said Bob Espey, President and CEO. “This turnaround was a major, one-in-10-year maintenance event. The safe and successful completion of the turnaround marks a significant accomplishment for our organization. It is an important milestone for our Company and our continued commitment to refining in British Columbia.”

EIA expects US fossil fuel production to increase through 2022

The US Energy Information Administration expects production of all fossil fuels – crude oil, coal, dry natural gas, and natural gas plant liquids – to increase in 2022, but forecast fossil fuel production will remain lower than the 2019 peak.
