New appointment at Sulzer

Sulzer has announced the appointment of Jim Mugford as President and Global Head of the company’s electromechanical services business.
In his new role, Mr Mungford will be responsible for driving Sulzer’s strategy, growth and profitability for electromechanical services worldwide and creating synergies with the company’s turbo services and pump services businesses.
Mr Mungford said: “Sulzer is all about being faster, more responsive and closer to our customers […] We deliver a high degree of knowledge and skill regarding machinery failure diagnostics and repair. By working collaboratively with customers to solve their problems and learning from different scenarios, we aim to offer the most comprehensive service.
“Sulzer responds expeditiously to rush requirements that minimize production downtime. At the end of the day, customers are looking for service providers who possess the expertise, tools and technology to make sure their machines are running reliably, efficiently and cost effectively and we will deliver on this promise.”
