The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has announced the launch of a competitive tendering process for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, for modernisation of the Fergana refinery.
The refinery is one of the largest hydrocarbon processing facilities in Uzbekistan and a modernisation project is being undertaken to boost production and align with European fuel quality-standards.
Post-renovation, the refinery will be equipped with modern technologies enabling increased operational efficiency with a reduced environmental impact. Increased annual capacity will also help Uzbekistan to meet all of its domestic needs and develop its export capacities.
The tender is open until 12 November 2020 and the successful bidder for the EPC works will be announced on 1 December 2020.
