New appointment at Voith Turbo

Shawn Calhoun has joined Voith Turbo's expanding Power, Oil & Gas Division as Vice President of Sales, Oil and Gas. An experienced sales and marketing professional, Calhoun will be based at the company's new Houston, Texas, office with the mission of supporting existing customers and expanding Voith Turbo's footprint in the oil and gas sector.

"With over 26 years of management experience in the energy industry, Shawn will be a key member of our team as we begin this exciting new chapter in Houston," said Ron Wilson, President Americas of the Power, Oil & Gas Division. "His knowledge of industrial product sales and service, business development, and sales management will allow us to provide even better support for our oil and gas customers and will be an asset as we expand in the market."

Prior to joining Voith, Calhoun served as Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Lufkin Industries, a division of General Electric. He previously served as General Manager of Lufkin's Gear Repair Division. Calhoun graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.Voith Turbo, a Group Division of Voith GmbH, is a specialist for intelligent drive solutions and systems. Customers from highly diverse industries such as oil and gas, energy, mining and metal processing, mechanical engineering, ship technology, rail and commercial vehicles rely on advanced technologies from Voith Turbo.
