Atlas Copco records 70% growth in Used Equipment business
Atlas Copco Portable Energy has recorded a 70% increase in its portable used equipment business for 2013.
The company launched its Used Equipment business, which is dedicated to selling premium and certified Atlas Copco portable compressors and generators, two years ago. Since then, the business has grown significantly.
Growth has been supported by the expansion of its Used Equipment Competence Centre in Katowice, Poland. The facility coordinates and manages all refurbishment activities for Europe, which were expanded to include cleaning and painting in 2013.
Atlas Copco Used Equipment has also strengthened its global reach by establishing representation in the US in June 2013 and Northern Africa in the first quarter of 2014.
Dominic Fancini, Atlas Copco Portable Energy Used Equipment Sales Manager, commented: ‘We consider it our responsibility to offer sustainable productivity of our equipment as it starts its second and third life.
‘No other party is better placed to ensure the quality of our used machines than we are’, he added.
