Implico releases new versions of its SAP S/4HANA solutions

Implico has released the SAP S/4HANA end-to-end solutions for the downstream industry. It consists of the packages SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Secondary Distribution Management (SAP S/4HANA SDM) and SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Retail Fuel Network Operations (SAP S/4HANA RFNO). The solutions optimise and automate the trade of oil and gas products and the management of service station networks. The highlight of the new release is an integrated application for dispatching and transport planning. Another feature is its comprehensive service station overview. Both functionalities come as user-friendly Fiori apps. Due to the immediate business benefits they offer, SAP selected them as ‘Fiori Lighthouse Scenarios’.
The SAP solutions developed support the order to cash process and the supply planning of downstream companies. Their features for managing and automating the entire supply chain make business more agile and transparent – from order taking and delivery to invoicing and payment. This facilitates better service quality and customer loyalty based on quicker reactions and more reliable information.
SAP S/4HANA SDM now contains the application IDM (Integrated Dispatch Management) by default. The transport planning tool supports dispatchers and automates their processes. In the course of this, the user selects the level of system support according to his own needs. Additionally, an extended dispatcher view facilitates the collaboration between dispatchers by showing them both their own areas and adjacent areas. This makes it easier to coordinate the planning of routes and the distribution of resources.
Another innovation is the service station overview in SAP S/4HANA RFNO. It provides employees with comprehensive information on the assigned stations in a service station network. The given information includes contract details, maintenance times and allocated business partners, for example.
As Fiori apps, both the transport planning in SAP S/4HANA SDM and the service station overview in SAP S/4HANA RFNO can be started conveniently via launch pad. They provide a personalised and simplified user experience. Since they offer immediate business benefits to users, SAP selected both innovations as ‘SAP Fiori Lighthouse Scenarios in SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP S/4HANA’.
The in-memory database technology of SAP empowers SAP S/4HANA solutions to process data nearly 300 times faster than before. This is especially valuable for service station networks that conduct a vast number of transactions per day. Compared to the previous version, Implico further increased the speed through optimised database communication. Also, the developers reimagined the user interface in the user-friendly SAP UI5 design framework.
