Sinopec to shut down production at ethylene plant for maintenance

The plant, which has a capacity of 180 000 tpy, has also began maintenance on its 600 000 tpy methanol to olefins unit that will last unitl 22 October.
The overhaul aims to remove safety risks at the production units and ensure smooth operation in the next five years.
