The country is set to build around 38 ethylene projects in the upcoming years.”
The US is expected to have the second highest ethylene capacity additions globally, behind China. The country contributes about 15.37 million tpy of the total global planned and announced ethylene capacity additions by 2030. Major capacity additions for the US will be from an announced project, ‘Chevron Phillips Chemical Qatar Petroleum Jv Orange Ethylene Plant’, with a capacity addition of 2 million tpy.
