ClearSign Combustion Corp. has successfully completed the evaluation of its DuplexTM technology in a comprehensive set of qualification tests for ExxonMobil. The purchase order to conduct the qualification tests was first announced on 13 July 2017.
The objective of the qualification tests was to demonstrate the technology’s ultra-low NOx emissions and operability limits to assess its potential application across ExxonMobil’s process heater fleet. Towards this end, ExxonMobil requested an evaluation over a broad range of typical conditions, including variations in fuel heating values, turndown, and excess air.
Stephen Pirnat, ClearSign’s Chairman and CEO, stated: "We are very pleased to achieve this milestone in the demonstration of Duplex technology for ExxonMobil. It represents a critical step in the validation and rapid deployment of the technology in process heaters.”
