The Massachusetts Petroleum Council (MPC) has appointed David O’Donnell as the new Associate Director for the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) division in Massachusetts.
MPC Executive Director, Stephen Dodge, said: "O’Donnell has a strong background in promoting economic and job growth in the region and will champion our growing outreach efforts throughout New England on behalf of the oil and natural gas industry […] He will help promote the need for infrastructure investments such as pipelines that will help deliver energy efficiently and affordably to consumers."
O’Donnell said: “The United States is leading the world in reducing carbon emissions while also leading the world in the production and refining of oil and natural gas […] We need to make sure that New England benefits from our abundance of natural gas and that we have a modern infrastructure to keep up with demand.
“The Massachusetts Petroleum Council looks forward to working with regulators to address the regional challenges that have made New England energy the costliest in the country.”
