Hydrocarbon Engineering,

L.A. Turbine (LAT) has announced that it will provide turboexpander units for gas processing and natural gas liquid (NGL) recovery within Honeywell UOP Russell modular gas plant installations.

The turboexpander-compressor units are designed to handle a flow range of 60 – 200 million ft3/d for UOP Russell standard gas plants.

John Gugel, VP/GM Honeywell UOP Gas Processing and Hydrogen, said: “LAT’s capability to provide a high-performing and reliable turboexpander solution within an expedited timeframe for our modular gas plants is key to this business partnership […] Their ability to control the entire design-to-build process including the engineering, manufacturing, assembly and turboexpander testing in one location contributes to our ability to deliver quicker-to-market, flexible and superior solutions within the natural gas sector.”

UOP Russell modular gas processing plants include skid-mounted, pre-engineered modular equipment that is factory-built to precise specifications. The equipment is easily delivered to remote locations and assembled on-site.
