Air Products

Air Products and the School of Energy and Power Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during their coorganised First Large Air Separation Technology and Industrial Gases Application Conference held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The objective o the MoU is to accelerate technological breakthroughs and talent development in cryogenic industries to support western China’s economic growth. The signing of the MoU reinforces Air Products’ commitment to the country and dedication to revolutionising the industry through innovation.

The MoU provides a framework of strategic collaboration between Air Products and XJTU on research and development in cryogenics, industrial gas and clean energy technologies; research funding applications; promoting knowledge exchange between the university and external market; and talent development through scholarships, student club and internships.

Dr. Miao Ping, director, Asia Technologey Centre, Air Products said, ‘we are pleased to reach a new height with XJTU today as we go one step further on our growth journey to support western China development. Air Products is committed to bringing technology advancement to China, and partnering with leading local universities and institutes has been a key component of our strategy. The expanded collaboration positions us to support the western region’s social and economic growth through innovation and talent development.’

AVEVA

AVEVA and Capgemini have announced the signing of a Global Alliance agreement. The agreement will benefit asset intensive industries such as oil and gas, process, power, marine and transport infrastructure. Building upon the alliance’s capabilities, customers will be able to achieve increased efficiency in construction, revamp and modification projects, as well as to extend the life of, and improve the integrity of operational information in existing assets. For new build projects, AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design solution enables rapid project setup, highly productive clash free 3D design and real time collaboration across different locations and disciplines. AVEVA’s solutions for owner/operators enable them to control and manage both project performance and the long term operational performance of their assets.

Capgemini’s Digital industrial Asset Lifecycle Management (DiALM) solution, based on AVEVA Information Management technology, will enable organisations in asset intensive industries to benefit from highly skilled resources for programme management, business consulting, systems integration and outsourcing, ensuring the successful delivery of integrated information management solutions.

Flexitallic

Flexitallic and Sage Environmental Consulting LP have formed a global partnership to reduce fugitive emissions for the chemical, petrochemical, refining and oil and gas industries. Believed to be the first comprehensive program of its kind, the partnership of its kind, the partnership will provide customers with seamless access to first class methods and products to find, fix and prevent unintentional product loss.

Flexitallic and Sage teams are being cross trained in each other’s products and services, which is helping them present new and enhanced solutions to customers. Sage will use its industry leading processes, people and technology to identify and manage fugitive emissions. Flexitallic will prevent or repair emission issues with its industrial sealing products and related training.

Steve Probst, CEO, Sage said, ‘through this unique partnership, customers will be able to further their commitment to operating in a safe, responsible manner benefitting their communities, their employees, and their investors. Not only will our enhanced offerings lead to safer worksites and cleaner air through VOC emissions, but they will also generate substantial cost savings by stemming the loss of valuable product from inadvertent leaks and reducing equipment downtime.’
