Voith has announced that its new workshop in Houston is up and running and receiving fresh orders for the overhauling and repairing of torque converters, S-couplings and gearboxes.
The opening of the 32 000 ft2 facility is an important step, giving the company a location in the heart of Houston which grants access to fulfil the gearbox needs of the North American power, oil and gas industries. At the workshop, Voith offers repair, overhaul and retrofit services for all brads of gearboxes, including the Vorecon variable planetary gearbox, as well as the aforementioned S-couplings and torque converters.
The company writes that a further “great benefit of our new Houston site is that we are able to welcome visits and project check-ins while providing easy beltway access for deliveries and pickup. The facility’s expert staff includes highly skilled technicians and also now serves as the home to our support and service teams, including salespeople, applications engineers, design engineers and customer service.”
“Not only that, you’ll be getting the fast, high-quality services you’ve grown to expect from Voith” concluded the company.
