Dreifa Energy appoints new Board member.

Dreifa Energy Ltd has announced that David Thomas will join the company’s Board of Directors.
Mr Thomas, an independent LNG advisor with over 20 years’ experience of LNG trading, shipping, origination and projects, will also act as a strategic advisor to the company.
Until this year, Mr Thomas ran Vitol’s global LNG business, having joined in 2006 to set up the team. As well as trading teams in Geneva and Singapore, he was responsible for all aspects of the LNG business, including origination and investments.
Prior to Vitol, Mr Thomas spent 20 years at BP, primarily engaged in natural gas and LNG marketing and trading activities; he jointly established BP’s LNG trading business in 1999.
A statement from Dreifa Energy said: “We are very enthusiastic about David joining the team and look forward to working closely with him to bring cost efficient floating LNG import infrastructure solutions to new markets around the world. We are confident his contribution will be invaluable to the founding team and our current and future partners and clients.”
