Fuel Tech awarded APC contracts

Fuel Tech, Inc. (Fuel Tech), a eader in advanced engineering solutions for the optimisation of combustion systems and emissions control in utility and industrial applications, has announced the receipt of multiple air pollution control (APC) contracts from customers in China. These awards have an aggregate value of approximately US$2 million.
Fuel Tech received multiple awards for NOXOUT® selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) systems for a variety of coal and gas fired utility boilers. The SNCR technology is a solution as combustion unit owners look to comply with more stringent NOX control requirements mandated by China. Equipment deliveries for these projects are occurring in the current fourth quarter (4Q16).
The company received additional orders in China for ULTRATM systems that will be installed on multiple coal-fired utility units being retrofitted with NOX reduction technology. Fuel Tech’s ULTRA process provides for the safe and cost effective onsite conversion of urea to ammonia for use as a reagent where selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is used to reduce NOX, eliminating the hazards associated with the transport, storage and handling of anhydrous or aqueous ammonia. Deliveries for these projects are scheduled in the current fourth quarter and 1Q17.
