Wison Offshore & Marine’s LNG dstributor (LNGD) design has received approval in principle (AiP) from DNV GL. A dedicated presenting ceremony was held at Marintec China 2017. This AiP has been granted upon the validation of LNGD design with a specification of 10 000 m3 storage capacity.

Wison LNGD is a versatile LNG distribution vessel, designed to affordably deliver small LNG parcels to multiple locations. It is ideal for applications in milk run and regional LNG hub distribution. Since the product launch back in April, it has appealed strong interests from ship-owners, gas infrastructure companies and other potential end-users, who recognise the unique but practical combination of features this small-scale LNG solution exhibits. The market-ready product is capable of partial cargo delivery, quick turnaround at the terminal. Its manoeuvrability eliminates the need for tug assistance while shallow draft design enables better accessibility to waters than conventional LNG carriers. The ability to handle ISO containers is particularly attractive to market where onshore LNG trucking is in growing demand.

Wison commits to providing efficient infrastructure solutions to lower the hurdle for those who are eyeing investments in the small to medium scale LNG markets. Others in the company’s small-scale LNG product line include bunkering vessel, small-scale LNGC, FSRU and FSRP.

DNV GL is rich in experience of classification and provision of technical advisories to maritime, LNG, and power industries.
