FEED contract for Technip

Technip, in partnership with China HuanQiu Contracting and Engineering Corporation (HQC) has been awarded a FEED contract by Basra Gas Company (BGC). The contract is related to the Ar Ratawi natural gas liquids train 1 project at North Rumaila, Basra Province, Iraq.

Project details

This is the first of the new Greenfield associated gas processing facilities that will significantly minimise gas flaring in Iraq and make more energy resources available for power and domestic use, an NGL train with nominal capacity of 530 million ft3/d. The standalone facilities will produce LPF, NGL and condensate for domestic markets.

The scope of the work covers the basic engineering design package of the NGL process units, utilities and the submission of an engineering procurement and construction package. Technip’s operating centre in Abu Dhabi will execute the project, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014.
