Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes Incorporated has announced that Kimberly A. Ross, has been appointed Senior Vice President and CFO effective October 22. Ross currently serves as Executive Vice President and CFO of Avon Products, Inc. She served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Royal Ahold N.V. from 2007 – 2011 and held various other finance positions at Royal Ahold from 2001 – 2007. Ross earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and became a certified public accountant after graduation.

Endress + Hauser

Endress + Hauser and Rockwell Automation have combined strengths to deliver a unique learning opportunity for their customers through a joint Process Solutions Summit event at Endress + Hauser’s new US$ 16 million customer centre located at its US headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana.

ExxonMobil

The Alaska LNG Project has marked a major milestone with the recent submission of a formal request to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to start the prefile process for the major natural gas project. The FERC prefile milestone sets the stage for the activity associated with the environmental review required for the siting, design, and permitting for construction of the proposed project. This is another important step in the progression of the Alaska LNG project.

Steve Butt, Alaska LNG senior project manager said, ‘we look forward to leveraging the extensive strengths of all the parties involved in the FERC prefile process.’

Gazprom

Gazpromneft-Aero has started supplying aviation fuel for regular flights to Russia by the Indian national carrier Air India in Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. Gazprom-Aero currently supplies aviation fuel for Air India flights on the Delhi-Moscow route conducted on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft four times a week. The quality of the aviation fuel supplied, and also the company’s service comply with the Russian and international standards. The fuel is supplied directly from Gazprom Neft oil refineries.

Vladimir Yegorov, Gazpromneft-Aero General Director said, ‘the signing of a long term cooperation agreement with another airline in the Star Alliance is for us the latest consecutive step towards strengthening Gazpromneft-Aero positions on the international market. Today the quality of the company’s services complies in full with modern international standards, which allows us to offer our clients a service of equally high quality in any airport where we operate.’

NES Global Talent

NES Global Talent has opened a new office in New Plymouth, New Zealand, due to increased demand for technical and engineering talent in the oil and gas, construction and infrastructure sectors. It is NES Global Talent’s first office in New Zealand and the operation will act as a regional hub for business activity, allowing the company to grow not only in the Taranki region, but also in other key locations across the North and South Islands.

Pure Biofuels

Pure Biofuels del Peru, SAC is pleased to announce that BP Group has completed an equity investment in the company. Pure Biofuels, based in Lima, Peru, is a rapidly growing company in Latin America’s expanding oil and gas industry. The company is a leader in the Peruvian refined fuels wholesale and distribution services market.

Russell Simon, MD, BP Latin America Integrated Supply and Trading said, ‘BP’s equity investment in conjunction with our long term supply relationship with the Company demonstrates our commitment to this important and fast growing region. Pure Biofuels operates with high environmental and safety standards and owns a key energy infrastructure asset in the South American fuel distribution market.’

Wood Group

Wood Group PSN has secured a contract with Woodside in Western Australia which boosts Wood Group’s maintenance and brownfield project portfolio in Australia. The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services on Woodside’s Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program, as well as providing modification and refurbishment services to Woodside’s Production Projects Group across all their onshore and offshore assets.

Andre Steward, Australia and Asia Pacific MD of WGPSN said, ‘Woodside is a great Australian success story and we are delighted to be selected as their partner of choice for this scope of work. This new contract deepens our presence in Western Australia, which is well timed against the local market transition we expect from Greenfield construction to production support services. This new contract adds to recent awards in Papua Ne Guinea, Malaysia and Bass Strait.’
