After a targeted search and development phase, WEKA’s cooperation with Toshniwal Hyvac Pvt. Ltd in India has been further expanded to local licensed production of WEKA magnetic level indicators.

In mid-January 2020 the local licensed production with Toshniwal, which had been built up over months, was successfully audited and the certificate for full WEKA licensed production in India was issued. WEKA's goal of penetrating the Indian market together with Toshniwal at the beginning of 2020 was thus achieved.

After the signing of the licence agreement in April 2019, a five-member delegation visited the WEKA headquarters in Switzerland for intensive manufacturing training. In parallel, a training of the sales and marketing team took place. The know-how gained was used to set up their own local production of WEKA visual level indicators in Chennai. Machines were purchased and initial experience with the production of WEKA products was gained.

The decision to set up a local licensed production was based on the first joint sales successes which resulted from the previously concluded sales partnership. WEKA, as a manufacturer of instruments for level measurement, cryogenic components and special valves, has been active in India for a long time. Some years ago, WEKA decided to intensify its activities in the Indian market. In order to be able to successfully work and further expand such distant markets, a strong cooperation with a local partner had to be established. After a two-year search and evaluation phase, a sales partnership with the professional, family-owned company Toshniwal in Chennai (Madras) in southern India was concluded at the beginning of 2018.
