New GPA and GPSA officers
The GPA and GPSA have announced officers elected to lead the respective organisations. The officers were confirmed at the 93rd annual GPA Convention held in Dallas in April. Of which Hydrocarbon Engineering was one of the major media partners. GPA is a trade association serving operating companies in the midstream energy sector; its officers are elected to one year terms.
GPA leadership
Joel Moxley, Crestwood’s senior vice president of operations and services has been elected to lead the GPA as chairman of the board for a second term. At Crestwood, Moxley is responsible for environmental safety and regulation, engineering and optimisation, insurance, human resources and information technology divisions. He has been involved with the GPA board of directors for more than 10 years and has been active in leading the association’s legislative and regulatory advocacy since 2011.
John Mollenkopf, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MarkWest Energy Partners, will serve as chairman elect for a second term. He has over 30 years experience in the energy industry and has held several executive level positions, including 12 years with MarkWest Energy Partners and five years with MarkWest Hydrocarbon. Prior to joining MarkWest he worked for ARCo Oil and Gas Co., holding various positions in process and project engineering. Mollenkopf has served on the GPA board for four years.
The three elected vice chairmen are Richard Cargile, Wouter van Kemepen and Bill Ward.
GPSA leadership
The GPSA, a sister association to the GPA, represents its members of service and supply companies in the midstream industry. Its officers are appointed by the association’s board of directors and serve one year terms:
- President: David Bardeen, director of sales, Ariel Corp.
- First Vice President: Sean Sullivan, chairman, president and CEO, Elkhorn Holdings.
- Second Vice President: Steve Tzap, CEO, ZAP Engineering and Construction Services.
- Treasurer: Stan Dorak, regional sales manager, Coastal Chemical.
