Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE)

ExxonMobil Corporation donated its annual US$ 50 000 holiday gift to GRACE in December of 2013. The charity will use the money to advance its relief efforts for homeless clients and families with limited income.

‘GRACE makes a difference to hundreds of families in North Texas,’ said Rex W. Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil Corporation. ‘We hope this gift will further GRACE’s compassionate service to our neighbours during the holiday season.’

‘This gift is a huge blessing to GRACE and the community we serve,’ said Shonda Schaefer, executive director of GRACE. ‘Thanks to the generosity of ExxonMobil we will be able to crease opportunity and hope for 500 additional families.’

Further employee donations

ExxonMobil as well as its employees and retirees raised over US$ 1.7 million at the end of last year for charitable organisations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area through the Employee’s favourite Charities Campaign. Employees and retirees contributed to more than 175 charities that provide a wide range of social and educational services to residents in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Rockwall and Tarrant counties.

‘ExxonMobil has a long history of supporting community groups and educational organisations in North Texas through financial contributions and thousands of hours volunteered by employees and retirees,’ said Tillerson. ‘Our employees and retirees continue a strong tradition of giving in the communities where we live and work.’
