Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery has donated a substantial sum to the 80th Annual New Jersey State Finals of the Diamond Gloves Boxing Tournament, scheduled to take place on 4th October 2013.

Tony Orlando, Linden Boxing Association founder, said that ‘the Baywater Refinery has been a staunch supporter of the event for many years, and through their sponsorship, we are able to present an enjoyable evening of championship amateur boxing entertainment.’

‘Most importantly, the event’s proceeds help support numerous and varied programs for the city’s youth, through the Linden Recreation Department.’

Al Volpe, Linden Boxing Association president, also commented. ‘The Bayway refinery has been a responsible corporate neighbour for many years, and their sponsorship, once again, plays a vital role in giving back to the city and its residents’.

David Erfert, the manager of the Bayway Refinery, said ‘this donation shows our commitment to the community where we operate our business. We are pleased to be able to give something back to assist our Linden neighbours.’
