A working meeting between Alexey Miller (Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee) and Kanat Bozumbayev (Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan) has taken place in Moscow.

The parties addressed the prospects of bilateral co-operation in the gas sector, including, inter alia, Russian and Kazakh gas supplies and issues related to gas transit, processing and marketing.

Gazprom and KazMunayGas have successfully collaborated within the KazRosGas joint venture, which was established on a parity basis with the purpose of buying gas from the Karachaganak field, processing it at the Orenburg gas processing plant and selling it to consumers in Kazakhstan and Russia.
