Axens and Arol Energy have signed a license agreement for Axens' Connect’In® technology. This service offer will now be proposed by Arol Energy to its biomethane producer customers.

Connect’In is a digital solution developed by Axens and until now made available exclusively to its customers. By collecting and continuously processing the industrial data, using a dedicated and ergonomic interface, it provides performance monitoring which can be used to provide optimisation recommendations. This information sharing with the operators enables Axens' experts to support their customers throughout the life cycle of the units. The overview of the operation of the units generated by Connect’In allows customers to identify improvement opportunities. They are then able to maximise the economic performance of the connected units by making regular adjustments to the operating parameters, supported by Axens' expertise. The technology will also help improve the reliability of the operations by immediately detecting any operational drift.

By offering the technology to its biomethane producer customers, Arol Energy enables them to maximise and secure the production of biomethane with the required qualities for its reinjection into the network. This is an effective way to ensure that they derive maximum benefits from their biogas processing units.

For Philippe Mège, head of the Digital Applications team at Axens, this agreement is “a new stage in the development of our Connect’In offer. Our technology, which has already been implemented on over 130 industrial units since its commercialisation began in 2019, will now open up to the biomethane market thanks to this collaboration with Arol Energy”.

David Bossan, CEO of Arol Energy, noted that this agreement will “strengthen our services to our customers, by going beyond the unit maintenance support we already provide. Connect’In will help us strengthen our position in the biogas purification market, by maximising our customers' revenues through the continuous optimisation of the operation of their units”.
