In this Spotlight interview, Duncan Mitchell, Global Decarbonisation Business Leader at KBC, a Yokogawa company, joins us to talk about his article that featured in the April 2023 issue of Hydrocarbon Engineering magazine.


Titled ‘Know thyself, know they enemy’, Duncan’s article explores how integrated process and energy models are capable of providing critical insight for emissions reduction road mapping.

Duncan explores the sources of refinery emissions and the role that an Energy Management System (EMS) can play in reducing these emissions.
