Fluor wins Innovation Excellence Award

Fluor Corporation has announced that Fiatech has named Fluor a Celebration of Engineering and Technology Innovation (CETI) Award winner for the company’s innovative integrated scaffolding solution on the North West Redwater Partnership Sturgeon Refinery Project in Alberta, Canada. Fluor received the award in the scenario-based project planning category.

Fluor’s turnkey solution incorporates scaffolding into a project’s detailed design and encompasses 3D design, logistics and field execution expertise. With a focus on efficient assembly sequencing, this approach optimises scaffolding quantities and onsite productivity, thereby reducing costs. Additional benefits include schedule predictability and reduced site hours and congestion. The programme is a partnership between Fluor and AMECO, Fluor’s equipment unit, as well as scaffolding manufacturer PERI.

Fiatech, an international organisation dedicated to the betterment of the capital project industry, annually recognises companies that have implemented innovative practices and technologies in capital projects and facilities through the CETI Awards. Entries are judged in the areas of new industry advancements, owner benefits, life cycle improvement, business factors, technical factors, cultural factors and collaboration, by a body of owners, professionals and academics working in the capital projects industry.
