ABB acquires CGM

ABB has announced that is has acquired the remaining shares of CGM AB, becoming its sole shareholder. The acquisition complements ABB’s portfolio with the latest technology for enhancing the control room environment, from optimised design to ergonomic solutions with advanced functionality and improved safety standards.

“By combining ABB's control system with CGM’s control room design and equipment, operators will have the best possible working environment from which to maximise efficiency and productivity. This offering strengthens our control system portfolio and contributes to the evolving internet of things, services and people,” said Ilpo Ruohonen, Managing Director of ABB’s Control Technologies business unit.

CGM employs 54 people and is based in Borås and Ryssby, Sweden.
