Alfa Laval

Alfa Laval has given the Gustaf Award to the Alfa Laval PureSOx team for an extraordinary product and commercial development. The prize was awarded at Alfa Laval’s Annual General Meeting, held in Lund, Sweden. The Gustaf Award was established in conjunction with Alfa Laval’s 100th anniversary in 1983, as an expression of Alfa Laval’s belief in continuous innovation. The award aims to encourage and reward efforts that are of great significance to the company’s business.

CB&I

CB&I has announced that it has been awarded contracts valued in excess of US$640 million by Toyo Engineering Corporation to provide ethylene technology, basic engineering and cracker heater supply, as well as construction services for the Shintech Ethane Cracker project in Plaquemine, Louisiana. The plant will employ CB&I’s latest, proven ethylene technology, including highly selective SRT cracking heaters and its innovative recovery section design, featuring low pressure separation and mixed refrigeration to minimise investment costs.

Endress+Hauser

Endress+Hauser is acquiring 100% of the process automation business of Colsein Ltda., its long time sales and service partner in Bogota. To gain additional market share and fortify the brand further in Colombia, Colsein’s process automation business will be transferred to a new Endress+Hauser sales subsidiary on 1 January 2016. The company will continue to maintain its headquarters in the capital city of Bogota. Gabriel Navas, Founder and MD of Colsein, will stay on as a member of the board.

Essar

Below is a comment from Essar on allegations made by Prashant Bhushan. “Essar has noticed that an eminent lawyer MR Prashant Bushan has made serious allegations against it through a letter made public today. Essar is a responsible corporate and we adhere to the highest standards of governance and ethics. We categorically deny the allegations made as false, baseless and self serving. Essar has not violated any law of the land and neither has it ever paid for anyone for publishing favourable articles.”
