KBC (A Yokogawa Company) has announced the launch of Flaretot® 2.0, an integrated flare system modelling platform for the refining, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries. Designed for engineering teams responsible for flare and pressure relief systems, Flaretot 2.0 improves flare system design workflows, from pressure relief through blowdown analysis, while strengthening process safety, streamlining engineering workflows, and supporting emissions reduction.

In a research article published in Process Safety and Environmental Protection, it is noted that flare systems are essential for safely relieving pressure under normal operation, startup, shutdown, and emergency conditions, reinforcing the importance of rigorous engineering analysis for pressure relief and flare system design.
