Global Compressor LP has expanded its headquarters in Huston, Texas, US.

The expansion allows for 7300 ft2 of additional space, housing a machine shop and valve repair centre, doubling the number of machines onsite. The newly expanded facility will also house additional sales offices, with 35 employees based at the facility.

The original repair centre was opened in 2012 with a prior expansion in 2018. This year’s expansion significantly increases inventory capacity for refurbishing, manufacturing and shipping parts to customers on the same day.

Sarah Jackson, Global Compressor partner, said: “We originally opened up the service repair centre in Houston to deliver viable, creative solutions for equipment repair. It enabled us to offer pick-up and delivery and coordinate projects based on our customers’ schedules. This new expansion allows us to take on more work, doubling our capacity. It improves our ability to service our customers and allows us to continue delivering on our goal to maintain effective customer response in order to minimise downtime during instances of equipment failure.”
