Veeder-Root, a leading provider of fueling logistics applications, has announced a multi-year contract with ABF Freight®, a subsidiary of ArcBest Corporation, one of the largest freight transportation and logistics companies in North America. Under the agreement, Insite360 FuelQuest will provide comprehensive bulk fuel management services for ABF Freight's terminal network in North America, enabled by Veeder-Root Automatic Tank Gauges with industry leading algorithms, advanced security features and real time notifications.

"With Insite360 FuelQuest's fuel logistics service we will gain additional needed efficiencies for our fuel operations," says Gary Hunt, VP, Equipment and Maintenance at ABF Freight. "We are also looking forward to the efficiencies and enhanced data availability that will be realised through their fuel invoice reconciliation process and its flexible reporting capabilities, which will enhance our own data analytics."

Insite360 FuelQuest will provide ABF Freight with a supplier independent fuel procurement and management solution backed by industry leading fuel management software and seasoned industry experts. Given that fuel costs are typically the second highest operational expense for fleet-based companies, the increased transparency offers greater insight into fleet fueling costs. These capabilities allow Veeder-Root to provide its customers the following benefits:

  • Lower fuel procurement costs.
  • Greater visibility and centralisation of fuelling operations.
  • Reduced invoice overpayments and administration costs.
  • Increased security of fuel supply.

"In getting to know ABF Freight, I have seen first hand their acute attention to process and controls," says Ryan Mossman, Senior Director of Fuel Services at Veeder-Root. "A programmatic approach to fuel management that includes audit functions and visibility across their vast network is a perfect fit for a process leading company like ABF Freight."
