Neste Jacobs and Neste have signed an agreement for Neste Jacobs to deliver a full scale Operator Training Simulator for crude oil distillation unit and gasoline sulphur removal unit of the Porvoo refinery.

The agreement is continuation of the previously delivered simulator aided learning environments for the largest production line of Porvoo refinery and for several NEXBTL renewable diesel refineries around the world. The new simulator is to be commissioned in spring 2016.

"NAPCON Simulator - Operator Training Simulator technology offers possibilities to improve the operating personnel's competence with a wide range of training exercises. Practicing together with the entire shift in a real-life-like learning facility is highly motivating and very efficient. Training simulators are now an essential part of Neste's competence management and an irreplaceable tool in securing safe and cost efficient production", stated Neste's Jukka Kanerva, Vice President, Production of Oil Products.

"We are devoted to serve our clients with our state of the art technology products to help in competence management as a part of their responsible and sustainable business", said Jarmo Suominen, CEO of Neste Jacobs. "The long lasting co-operation with Neste in developing and utilising Training Simulators is an example of our world class technological ability and solid customer service concept".
